Yes. Under the Turkish Regulation on Fire Protection of Buildings, fire installations are a legal requirement for all structures above certain occupancy, height, and hazard class thresholds.

Why do fire pumps need to be tested regularly?

Fire pumps can sit idle for extended periods. Risks such as shaft seizure or control panel failure can go undetected without routine checks. Weekly and monthly tests are essential to guarantee the pump will operate when it matters most.

Can sprinkler heads activate accidentally?

No. Sprinkler heads only activate when a specific temperature threshold (typically 68°C) causes the internal glass bulb to expand and shatter. They will not discharge on their own unless subjected to physical impact.
